History of practice
Udouj Orthodontics was founded in 1972 by Dr. Henry Udouj II—affectionately known as Dr. U—a man whose path to orthodontics was shaped by service, discipline, and dedication. After graduating dental school, Dr. U served as a captain in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, where his son, Dr. Henry Udouj III, was born. Following his military service, Dr. U completed his orthodontic residency in Saint Louis and returned to Fort Smith to open his practice on South O Street.
In 1999, the practice moved across the street from Ramsey Junior High, marking a new chapter as Dr. Henry joined his father in practice. Together, Dr. U and Dr. Henry built a legacy of care, integrity, and community over 17 wonderful years until Dr. U’s passing.
Dr. Henry continued the tradition as a solo practitioner for the next eight years, carrying forward the values instilled by his father. In 2025, the team welcomed Dr. Wiggins—a Fort Smith native and former patient of both Dr. U and Dr. Henry. His return to the practice brought the story full circle, blending legacy with fresh energy.
Today, Udouj Orthodontics stands as a testament to family, service, and the enduring smiles of generations.
